We’re looking for Multi-skilled Maintenance Engineers to join our engineering team in Stranraer. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment where you’ll play a key role in maintaining and improving our production and packing operations.
Whether responding to breakdowns, delivering planned maintenance or supporting continuous improvement projects, you’ll have the opportunity to make a real impact on site performance while developing your career within a global organisation.
Key Responsibilities
As a Multi-skilled Maintenance Engineer, you will:
- Ensure production equipment operates safely, efficiently and reliably.
- Carry out planned preventative maintenance activities across site assets.
- Diagnose faults and deliver effective mechanical and electrical repairs.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives that improve efficiency, reliability and performance.
- Work collaboratively with production teams to minimise downtime and maximise productivity.
- Maintain accurate maintenance records using the site’s maintenance management system.
- Support the installation, commissioning and optimisation of new equipment.
- Promote a proactive approach to health, safety, food safety and environmental standards.
- Contribute to root cause analysis and the implementation of long-term corrective actions.
- Share knowledge and support the development of colleagues and apprentices where required.
Our Ideal Candidate
We’re looking for a motivated and proactive engineer who enjoys solving problems, working as part of a team and continually improving the way things are done.
You’ll ideally have:
- A recognised engineering apprenticeship or equivalent qualification.
- Experience within a food manufacturing, FMCG or production environment.
- Strong fault-finding skills across mechanical and electrical systems.
- Knowledge of pneumatic, hydraulic and automated production equipment.
- Experience of planned preventative maintenance systems.
- Good communication and organisational skills.
- A strong commitment to health, safety and quality standards.
- The ability to work effectively under pressure and manage competing priorities.
