A person looking to start their career in Finance who is currently studying for their AAT level 3 or has completed AAT level 3. We are looking for a Finance Assistant who can help with ensuring the smooth operation of the day-to-day financial processes. The person must have a good work ethic, be well organised, and be diligent.

Main tasks and responsibilities:

  • Day-to-day sales invoicing process
  • Issue regular reports during the month to ensure all orders have been captured and to highlight orders subject to amendments
  • Issue regular reports during the month to monitor the invoicing process to ensure all orders have been correctly assembled and dispatched
  • Supporting day-to-day goods in reconciliation
  • Accounts Payable:
    • Registration of purchase invoices & credits
    • Processing of authorised invoices & credits
    • Reconciliation of supplier ledgers to supplier statements
    • Support weekly/monthly expense claim process
  • Other:
    • Provide cover for holiday & other absences as appropriate
    • Assist with providing information for the annual audit

Demonstrated experience in finance although not essential. Commercial, with evidence of the ability to deliver proactive and reactive support. Demonstrate proficiency using key software (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook). Good verbal and written communication skills. Ability to meet financial targets. Demonstrated ability to interact effectively with people at different levels. Understanding of and commitment to Equal Opportunities and managing diversity.
