Our client is a Contemporary Art Gallery in London, and they are looking for a skilled and efficient Content Creator to shoot and edit standout content across the gallery’s exhibitions, artists, and digital channels. The person will be responsible for producing content that brings the gallery’s exhibitions and artist stories to life - from gallery walk-throughs to engaging video content for internal use, the gallery’s social media, and artists’ own digital channels.
This is a hands-on, technical role ideal for someone who understands how to operate compact video equipment (vlogging cameras, gimbals, mics, lighting) and edit high-quality content quickly, with a strong eye for storytelling and brand consistency.
What You’ll Be Doing:
- Storytelling/ Creative Ideation: Creative planning for content in support of artist and exhibition communications. Share creative input in planning sessions and continuously seek ways to improve output quality and performance. Stay on top of social media trends and best practices to create attention-grabbing, high-performing video content. Storyboard ideas and concepts for approval.
- Video Production: Operate compact filming gear including iPhones, cameras, gimbals, microphones, and lighting kits. Film gallery walkaround videos for the sales team at the launch of each exhibition. Capture short-form social content for the gallery’s own channels as well as for artists' social media platforms. Support the production of bespoke video content as needed for key campaigns or high-profile projects.
- Video Editing: Edit footage quickly and to a high standard, using transitions, overlays, captions, and music. Format content correctly for multiple platforms - vertical, square, and widescreen - optimised for performance. Use tools like Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, CapCut, and Canva for editing and graphics. Format content for various platforms (Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, etc.), ensuring a polished, professional finish. Incorporate additional assets such as brand elements, artworks, and supporting visuals where required. Manage and organise content using tools like Vimeo (or similar), ensuring assets are well-tagged, organised and easily accessible for efficient reuse and repurposing.
Key Requirements:
- You are up to date on current social media trends and insights.
- You are a self-starter and looking for an opportunity to make a big impact.
- You are creative, analytical, and an innovator.
- You are detail-oriented and thrive in dynamic and fast-paced working environments.
- You possess excellent communication & interpersonal skills.
- You are a strong team player and comfortable working in matrix environments.
Salary: DOE Full-time, onsite.
