The Primary Academy is looking to recruit a highly motivated Learning Support Assistant to join their amazing school, fostering a positive learning environment both in classrooms and small groups.
The LSA role is highly varied, involving providing individualised support, acting as a mentor, and ensuring the academic, physical, social, and emotional welfare of children. The successful candidate will be expected to provide one-to-one or small group support to children, assisting with academic tasks (especially literacy and numeracy) and facilitating their inclusion in whole-class activities. The role also includes whole class support during the school day.
There may be an opportunity to work additional hours in the After School Club.
The role emphasises child safety and requires a thorough vetting process, including an enhanced Criminal Record Bureau check and Online checks.
Skills and Qualifications
- Experience of working with children with Special Education Needs: 2 years (preferred)
- Primary School Teaching Assistant: 2 years (required)
