About the Role
We are currently recruiting for an experienced HGV Class 1 (Category C+E) Driver to join our client based in Needingworth. This is an immediate start with a 3-month contract and the opportunity to secure a permanent position following a successful probationary period. You'll be driving a flatbed HGV, delivering bagged aggregates to builders' merchants across East Anglia. The role offers excellent working hours, paid breaks, and no manual unloading.
Key Responsibilities
- Safely operate a Class 1 (C+E) flatbed vehicle.
- Complete up to three deliveries per shift to builders' merchants across East Anglia.
- Secure loads using sheeting and strapping (full training provided).
- Assist with forklift loading and unloading where required (no handballing involved).
- Complete all relevant delivery paperwork accurately.
- Carry out daily vehicle checks and comply with all road transport legislation and company procedures.
