We are currently recruiting for an experienced CNC Machinist on behalf of a well-established and growing manufacturing business within the timber and door production sector. The successful candidate will play a key role in the production process, ensuring CNC machinery is programmed, operated, and maintained to the highest standards while supporting operational efficiency and product quality.
The Role
- Setting, programming, and operating 3- and 5-axis CNC wood machines
- Producing high-quality door components in line with production schedules
- Working from production specifications and completing paperwork accurately
- Carrying out ongoing quality control checks throughout machining processes
- Preparing materials for machining including cutting, sanding, priming, and sorting components
- Identifying machining errors and clearly marking acceptable materials
- Supporting machine maintenance and minimising downtime where possible
- Maintaining a clean, organised, and safe working environment
- Reporting faults, quality concerns, or operational issues promptly
