We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Machine Operator to join our manufacturing team. The successful candidate will be responsible for operating, maintaining, and troubleshooting various machinery used in fabrication processes. The position is paid and suitable for individuals with experience in manufacturing, assembly, or warehouse operations. Responsibilities

  • Operate and monitor machinery involved in fabrication, milling, and assembly processes.
  • Set up equipment according to specifications using CAD drawings and tooling instructions.
  • Perform routine maintenance, inspections, and troubleshooting on machines to ensure optimal performance.
  • Utilise programmable logic controllers (PLCs) to adjust machine parameters as needed.
  • Handle materials safely and efficiently within the warehouse environment, including loading and unloading components.
  • Use hand tools and welding equipment for minor repairs or adjustments to machinery or fabricated parts.
  • Ensure adherence to safety protocols during operation, including proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
  • Assist with the setup and calibration of machines using basic math skills for measurements and calculations.
  • Document operational data accurately for quality control purposes.
  • Collaborate with team members on assembly tasks requiring mechanical knowledge and precision.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience in fabrication, machining, or manufacturing environments.
  • Knowledge of CAD software such as SolidWorks; experience with milling is desirable.
  • Familiarity with programmable logic controllers (PLCs) and automation systems.
  • Mechanical aptitude with hands-on experience using hand tools, welding equipment, and tooling.
  • Strong understanding of materials handling procedures within a warehouse setting.
  • Basic math skills for measurements, calculations, and setting machine parameters.
