Salary: £32,246.69 (gross) per annum, with a fixed sum allowance of £1,195.
Current employees in banding 15-21 will maintain their existing salary.
Location: West Midlands Regional Office/ Southend and hybrid
Duration: A fixed-term contract from 01 January 2027 to 31 May 2027.
The Labour Party is looking to recruit a Local Organiser. The post-holder will be responsible for ensuring effective campaign organisation across field and digital, working towards the 2027 local elections in Southend. The post holder will be responsible for building and maintaining party organisation and activity; establishing effective election and campaign organisation in liaison with local candidates, elected representatives, and CLP officers in Southend.
The successful candidate will have:
- Knowledge and understanding of the Party organisation at branch, constituency and regional level
- Experience of organising a campaign
- Experience of working with volunteers.
- Ability to work on own initiative with minimum supervision and to deliver work to agreed deadlines.
