Labour 24/7 are an employment business acting on behalf of our Bury, BL9 based client who due to increased workload are recruiting for an experienced FLT Counterbalance Operative to join their team on an ongoing basis. Current valid FLT Counterbalance licence is essential.
The work will involve using FLT Counterbalance vehicle to unload and load containers with IBC’s (Intermediate Bulk Containers). This is a fast paced working environment. Hours of work can vary and are Monday-Friday 6am-3pm, 7am to 4pm, 8am-5pm or 9am-6pm.
Main Responsibilities
- Always maintain a safe working environment
- Conduct safe operation of forklift truck
- Load and unload containers with IBC's
- Ensure a high level of standards are maintained when loading and unloading goods
- Ensure paperwork is done in a timely manner
- Ensure all documentation is completed correctly
- Ensure tanker offloading is performed in accordance with written instruction and all paperwork is correct
- Follow all information and guidance given in individual work instructions
- Carry out daily operator checks including PPE
This position will be permanent after a satisfactory probationary period.
