Try client seeks a new Electronics Engineer to support hardware development. This is a permanent position on-site in Oxfordshire. Applicants will ideally be locally based or within 45 minutes commute.
Engineering aptitude, high attention to detail and excellent written communication skills are essential for this role. This is lean but powerful team where you will be working with engineers best in field.
Responsibilities
- Design electronics for applications that include machine vision, robotics and industrial wire- less networks
- Support testing and documentation for product regulatory approvals and certifications
- Development of automated production test hardware
- Produce engineering documentation including assembly drawings, manufacturing instructions and test procedures
- Review product designs for manufacturability and failure modes
Qualifications and experience levels
- Ideally graduated with a 2.1 or higher in electronics engineering or a related discipline
- At least three years of experience in a relevant design role
Skills – Required
- Tangible and credible experience is required in the following:
- Analogue and digital circuit design, from schematic capture through to layout (preferably with Altium)
- Design for manufacturability techniques
- Board-level electronics debugging with common test equipment
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel)
- Experience in one or more of the following would be beneficial:
- Design for harsh environments with appropriate certifications (e.g., IECEx, ATEX, DNV-GL)
- EMC and regulatory requirements for devices that feature radio communications
- Camera and ranging technologies (e.g, ToF, LIDAR)
- RF/Microwave circuit design and testing techniques
- Simulation software (e.g., LTSpice, TINA, COMSOL)
- DCDC power supplies
- Basic system administration (Windows and Linux)
