Laboris Solutions are pleased to be working with a client based on very firm foundations that are looking for an ambitious and commercially driven Commercial Manager to join their growing team and play a key role in the continued expansion of the business.

This is more than just a Commercial Manager role — it is a genuine opportunity for someone looking to progress into Director level within 1 year, working closely alongside senior leadership and helping shape the future direction of the company.

The Opportunity

You will oversee multiple projects and commercial activities across the business, leading from the front with strong contractual knowledge, client management skills, and commercial awareness.

The successful candidate will have the ability to manage projects or divisions effectively while building strong relationships with clients, subcontractors, and internal teams.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead commercial management across multiple projects
  • Oversee scope management and change control processes
  • Negotiate and manage JCT & NEC contracts
  • Build and maintain strong client relationships
  • Support business growth and strategic decision-making
  • Lead, mentor, and develop commercial teams
  • Ensure projects are commercially successful and delivered efficiently
  • Work closely with Directors on business performance and future growth plans

About You

We are looking for someone who is:

  • Experienced within a Senior Commercial role in Construction
  • Commercially astute with strong negotiation skills
  • Confident managing clients and multiple stakeholders
  • Organised, detail-oriented, and highly motivated
  • Able to lead teams and delegate effectively
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced construction environment

Preferred Experience

  • Quantity Surveying background
  • JCT & NEC contract experience
  • Main contractor or subcontractor experience
  • Engineering or technical construction background advantageous
  • RICS accredited (desirable)
