The Role
This is a hands-on leadership position — you’ll personally own key design outputs and manage, mentor, and develop a talented team of designers. No ivory tower management here.

What You’ll Be Doing
- Leading and managing the Secure Division Design Department
- Producing and checking drawings, schedules, and technical documentation
- Owning projects end-to-end — tender to construction issue
- Acting as escalation point for complex technical challenges
- Driving design change control, QA, and Golden Thread compliance
- Attending client, architect, and contractor meetings as design lead
- Mentoring junior designers and building a high-performing team
What they’re Looking For
- Proven experience in fenestration or façade design (2–5+ years senior)
- Strong technical knowledge
- Familiarity with UK/EN standards, Approved Documents, CWCT, Building Safety Act, and Golden Thread
- Experience producing drawings for client approval and fabrication
- Proficiency in AutoCAD and MS Office
- Strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills
- Full, clean UK driving licence
Ambitious candidates with a shorter track record but exceptional technical ability and leadership potential are encouraged to apply.
