Production Technician in Bicester

Production Technician Salary: £25,420 – £34,000 per annum DOE Location: Bicester, Oxon Job Type: Full-time Build, assemble and make a difference! We are looking for a motivated Production Technician to join our clients growing team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with experience in mechanical or electronic assembly who wants to develop their technical skills and play an important role in delivering high-quality products to customers. You’ll be involved in the assembly, testing and maintenance of mechanical and electronic products, working alongside a supportive team to ensure every product meets the highest standards. What you’ll be doing * Assembling mechanical and electronic products in line with detailed technical instructions and specifications. * Carrying out soldering and other hands-on production activities. * Ensuring all products meet strict quality control and workmanship standards. * Identifying and troubleshooting mechanical or electronic issues, escalating more complex problems when required. * Maintaining a clean, safe and organised working environment. * Working collaboratively with colleagues to achieve production targets and customer deadlines. * Ensuring tools, equipment and materials are properly maintained and stored. * Supporting the wider production team with other duties as required. What we’re looking for We’re keen to hear from practical, enthusiastic individuals who enjoy working with their hands and have a genuine interest in engineering, electronics or manufacturing. Ideally, you’ll bring: * At least 2 years’ experience in a mechanical or electronics production environment. * Good practical soldering skills. * Knowledge of J-STD-001 and/or IPC-7711/7721 standards (advantageous). * Experience working to IPC-A-610 standards (advantageous). * Good IT skills and confidence using business systems. * Strong organisational skills and the ability to work independently. * Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal. * A positive, proactive attitude and a willingness to go the extra mile for customers.
