Autocad Technician in East Kilbride

We're looking for a motivated and detail-oriented CAD Technician to join our growing team. The successful candidate will play a key role in the production of detailed technical drawings and manufacturing information for our range of products, including laboratory furniture, fume cupboards, fume extract systems and associated services.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone with strong AutoCAD skills, experience with Revit, and ideally a background in Furniture, Fixtures & Equipment (FF&E).

Key Responsibilities

• Produce accurate 2D and 3D technical drawings using AutoCAD and Revit.
• Develop detailed manufacturing and installation drawings.
• Prepare GA drawings, detail drawings, schedules, and construction documentation.
• Coordinate drawings with architects, designers, contractors, and project teams.
• Assist with design development and technical problem-solving.
• Maintain drawing registers and document control procedures.
• Ensure all drawings comply with relevant industry standards and project specifications.
• Carry out site surveys when required.

Skills & Experience

• Proficient in AutoCAD.
• Working knowledge of Revit.
• Strong understanding of technical drawing standards and construction detailing.
• Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Experience within the FF&E, furniture manufacturing, laboratory furniture, interior fit-out, or joinery sectors.
• Knowledge of BIM processes.
• Experience producing manufacturing and workshop drawings.
• Understanding of materials, fabrication methods, and installation practices.
