Lab Solutions is recruiting for a successful Contract Research Organisation that provides market-leading scientific services globally.

We are seeking an experienced and driven Principal Scientist that has extensive experience in a GxP regulated setting to work within the analytical team. As a Principal Scientist, you will provide advanced analytical characterisation and problem-solving to support chemical process development for small molecules as well as new/complex modalities.

You will operate as a scientific leader who partners closely with process chemists and cross-functional stakeholders, and you will help drive execution, prioritisation, and clear communication of analytical strategy and results across projects.

You will maintain an active, hands-on laboratory contribution, personally designing and executing analytical experiments and troubleshooting complex problems alongside the team.

You will guide and mentor junior scientists and project analysts and drive innovation growth through internal and external scientific networks.

Duties

  • Design, Develop, Optimise and Validate fit-for-purpose analytical methods for new compounds
  • Lead advanced characterisation strategies
  • Enable project delivery by acting as an analytical scientific lead across multiple projects
  • Sustain an active hands-on laboratory presence including method development optimisation, validation and execution of analytical experiments
  • Actively contribute to scientific excellence through publications, proposal writing as well as a strong scientific track record

Experience and Skills

  • Deep expertise in analytical characterisation of small molecules and their related impurities as well as complex modalities
  • Demonstrated hands-on laboratory experience in developing, executing, validating and troubleshooting analytical methods
  • Lead the authoring and reviewing of analytical procedures, protocols/reports
  • Ability to independently generate, interpret, and troubleshoot analytical data
  • Strong practical proficiency in analytical techniques, including UPLC-MS, GC-MS. xgikmsk
  • Experience using ICP-OES, DSC and NMR MS to NCEs and their related impurities
  • Exhibits enthusiasm for laboratory work and a commitment to fostering teamwork and collaboration among all members.
