Here at Labcorp, we are seeking a Laboratory Analyst to join our In Vivo Metabolism department at our site in Harrogate, North Yorkshire. As a Laboratory Analyst, you will be responsible for conducting the day to day laboratory execution on a variety of Metabolism studies. This is a great opportunity for recent graduates or someone with previous industry experience looking to progress their scientific career.
Duties Include:
- Running routine and bespoke drug metabolism assays, including dose formulation preparation, quantitative whole body autoradiography, necropsy and executing radio analysis on excreta and tissue samples
- Working within cross functional teams to perform sample analysis in accordance with GLP regulatory requirements to deadlines
- Ability to conduct most processes/task in support of broad portfolio of study types
- Maintaining study documentation in compliance with regulatory guidelines
- Reviewing own work for overall accuracy, timeliness, completeness, and soundness of technical judgment
- Delivering results within agreed timeframe
- Identifying opportunities for improvement in operational processes and lead or contribute to the delivery of these improvements
- Maintaining a clean and safe laboratory work environment and performing routine maintenance

Education:
BSc minimum, preferable in Biological sciences/Biochemistry. Experience may be substituted for education.
Skills / Experience:
- Ability to quickly learn new tasks and methodologies
- Excellent attention to detail paired with strong analytical skills
- Strong communication skills both written and verbal
- Flexible work ethic
- Any knowledge/experience working with radioactive materials, animal tissue and dissection is advantageous
Please note, there is a requirement for overtime where you may be required to stay later on weekdays and work a day on the weekend. This will be on a 1 in 4 week rota basis and will be compensated in addition to your basic salary.
