Overview
As part of Labcorp’s Cardiovascular Safety Pharmacology team, you will support data collection and analysis for studies, ensuring timely delivery and data accuracy. You will gain hands-on exposure to ECG and cardiovascular data, learning to recognize typical and abnormal waveforms. You’ll help prepare equipment, maintain study documentation, and ensure compliance with SOPs and GLP standards. This role sits at the intersection of science and operational execution, contributing to safer therapeutic development. You will work with cross-functional teams to drive reliable data and meaningful health outcomes.
Responsibilities
- Data collection and analysis to support studies
- Develop basic understanding of ECG, blood pressure, and respiratory waveforms
- Verify data accuracy and format data according to protocols
- Prepare laboratory equipment for the team
- Record and analyze electronic data
- Recognize typical ECG complexes and rhythms, including abnormalities
- Monitor study phases and escalate issues to study management
- Adhere to timelines for on-time data delivery
- Follow SOPs, processes and best practices
- Review and provide input on protocols, amendments and study reports
- Assist in inter-department scheduling of studies
Key requirements
- National level of education (c / 4 or above) in Science, Math and English GCSE
- BSc in Biology, Pharmacology, Physiology (preferred)
- Experience in scientific industry desirable
- Knowledge of cardiovascular data acquisition and analysis advantageous
- Strong team player
- Ability to quickly learn new tasks and methodologies
- Proficient with computers and software used for data collection and analysis
- Compliance with SOPs, GLP, Home Office license requirements and regulatory guidelines
