Our largest UK site in Harrogate, North Yorkshire is currently recruiting for a Lead Scientist to join the LCMS team.

Job Responsibilities include:

  • Lead scientific activities supporting method development, validation, and sample analysis projects.
  • Serve in key study leadership roles (e.g., Study Director, Principal Investigator, Responsible Scientist) for regulated and non-regulated studies.
  • Develop, review, and approve protocols, validation plans, reports, and study data.
  • Provide scientific oversight to ensure compliance with GLP, GCP, regulatory, and client requirements.
  • Act as the primary scientific contact for clients, defining project requirements and managing scientific expectations.
  • Identify and resolve scientific challenges, risks, and scope changes throughout the study lifecycle.
  • Provide technical expertise and support assay troubleshooting and scientific investigations.
  • Lead, mentor, and develop scientific staff while fostering collaboration and a culture of quality.
  • Manage multiple complex projects, ensuring delivery to quality, timeline, and client expectations.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives that enhance scientific excellence and client satisfaction.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Advanced scientific degree (or equivalent experience) in a relevant discipline.
  • Strong experience in bioanalytical method development, validation, and regulated study conduct.
  • Thorough understanding of GLP, GCP, and applicable regulatory requirements.
  • Proven ability to interpret complex scientific data and make sound technical decisions.
  • Excellent client management, communication, and stakeholder engagement skills.
  • Demonstrated leadership, mentoring, and project management experience.
  • Ability to manage a high-volume workload while maintaining scientific quality and attention to detail.
