Overview
As Study Director, you lead GLP-compliant studies at Labcorp Eye in Suffolk, coordinating study plans, timelines, and regulatory adherence. You work closely with sponsors and cross-functional teams to ensure data integrity, accurate reporting, and successful study execution. Your role combines scientific oversight with QA and training responsibilities, shaping high-quality research outputs. Responsibilities
- Lead GLP-compliant studies and ensure alignment with sponsor design and regulatory requirements
- Prepare, approve, and circulate Study Plans; monitor progress and communicate with sponsors
- Ensure methods, identity, stability, and hazard data meet regulatory standards and timelines
- Review data for accuracy; maintain documentation and QA audits; implement corrective actions
- Coordinate study startup logistics, equipment, and staffing; plan weekly study schedules
- Maintain computerized monitoring and archive transfer of data and reports
- Liaise with staff, sponsors, and QA to ensure compliance with SOPs and GLP/GMP
- Provide training, mentoring, and expert advice on study designs and regulatory topics
- Communicate study progress and outcomes promptly to sponsors and internal stakeholders
Key requirements
- Degree in Chemistry
- Experience as Study Director or in GLP-regulated studies
- Used instrumentation: LC-MS/MS, GC-MS, HPLC-uv
- Knowledge of GLP, QA audits, and regulatory guidelines
- Attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities
- Effective written and verbal communication; ability to train staff
