The Role
We are seeking an experienced and results-driven Sales Manager to lead and expand our client base in the pharmaceutical synthesis sector. This role involves both strategic oversight and hands-on business development to grow market share, build relationships with key clients, and contribute to our long-term sales strategy.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute sales strategies to meet and exceed revenue targets
- Identify new business opportunities within the pharmaceutical synthesis market
- Build and maintain strong relationships with procurement, R&D, and production teams at client companies
- Provide technical knowledge and guidance to clients on product applications
- Collaborate with internal teams (technical, regulatory, logistics) to ensure customer satisfaction
- Monitor market trends and competitor activity to inform pricing and positioning
- Attend industry trade shows, conferences, and client visits as needed
- Prepare regular sales forecasts, reports, and pipeline updates for senior leadership
- Lead, mentor, guide and manage a small sales team (2 personnel)
Requirements
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Chemistry, pharmaceutical science, or a related field
- Minimum 5 years of technical sales experience in raw materials for the pharmaceutical synthesis market
- Strong understanding of raw materials used in pharmaceutical synthesis
- Proven ability to manage key accounts and close complex sales deals
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills
- Willingness to travel domestically and internationally as required
