We’re looking for a Validation Engineer to join our growing team at Labman Automation. In this role, you’ll take ownership of validation activities for cutting‑edge automated systems used in regulated environments. You’ll play a key part in ensuring our systems meet GxP, GMP, and regulatory standards, supporting successful Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT), Site Acceptance Testing (SAT), and customer validation.
What You'll Do
- Develop and execute risk‑based validation strategies aligned with GAMP principles
- Create and maintain key validation documentation (URS, validation plans, protocols, reports)
- Lead and support validation during FAT, SAT, and site commissioning
- Ensure full requirements traceability from specification through to validation evidence
- Support change control, impact assessments, and revalidation activities
- Partner with software, electrical, and mechanical engineers to embed validation early in design
- Review system designs from a compliance and validation perspective
- Support customers with validation expectations, documentation, and audit readiness
- Contribute to project planning, including validation effort estimates and risk identification
- Improve validation processes, templates, and best practices
- Participate in internal audits, customer audits, and regulatory inspections
- Promote Good Documentation Practice (GDP) and data integrity (ALCOA) principles
- Mentor engineers in validation and testing approaches
What You'll Need
- Experience in validation, quality, or regulated engineering environments (GMP, GxP, or similar)
- Strong understanding of: FAT / SAT IQ / OQ / PQ
- Proven ability to produce clear, structured technical documentation
- Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills
- Strong communication skills with cross‑functional teams and customers
- Risk‑based validation Requirements traceability
Non Essentials
- Experience validating automated systems, lab equipment, or software‑controlled machinery
- Familiarity with GAMP 5, ALCOA principles, and 21 CFR Part 11
- Experience supporting FAT/SAT and leveraging FAT for validation
- Exposure to software validation, control systems, or industrial automation
