Position: Project Leader Robotics Engineer

Location: Labman HQ, Stokesley, North Yorkshire

Salary: £35,000 - £45,000 (based on experience)

What You’ll Do:

  • Design and develop cutting-edge electro-mechanical automation systems (mechanics, optics, electronics, pneumatics, and software).
  • Create and adapt CAD models, schematics, and technical documentation.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to solve integration challenges and align to safety/quality standards.
  • Work directly with clients—shaping ideas, scoping improvements, and driving innovation.
  • Support technicians and coordinate teams to bring projects to life.

What You'll Need:

  • Degree in Robotics, Mechatronics, Mechanical or Electrical Engineering (or similar).
  • At least 3 years proven track record in leading robotics, mechatronics, or automation projects.
  • Advanced expertise in CAD and simulation tools such as SolidWorks, MATLAB, or ROS, with the ability to guide teams in best practice.
  • Strategic problem-solver with strong critical thinking, capable of balancing technical detail with big-picture project goals.
  • Inspiring communicator and collaborator, skilled at bringing multidisciplinary teams and clients together to deliver results.
  • Proactive leader who thrives in fast-paced, innovative environments and has a track record of driving projects from concept to successful delivery.
