Job Description
Role Responsibilities
- Perform routine maintenance tasks to ensure building facilities operate smoothly and efficiently.
- Repair and maintain building systems (plumbing, electrical, etc.).
- Conduct preventative maintenance activities.
- Respond to maintenance requests and identify safety hazards.
- Keep detailed records of maintenance activities.
- Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work environment.
- Assist with planned maintenance such as fire alarm tests, emergency lighting, and equipment maintenance.
- Perform minor plumbing, electrical work, and repairs to building fabric.
- Use and maintain hand and mechanical tools and machinery.
- Provide updates on tasks and progress to colleagues.
- Report and resolve deficiencies to prevent faults and safety risks.
- Support production and site/building improvements proactively.
Essential Capabilities
- Experience in a caretaker or facilities role preferred.
- Ability to perform various building trades.
- Basic knowledge of plumbing and electrical tasks.
- Strong planning and communication skills.
- Valid driving license.
- Ability to work independently.
- Organizational skills and project management experience.
- Ability to delegate and manage subcontractors.
