Job Description

Role Responsibilities

  • Perform routine maintenance tasks to ensure building facilities operate smoothly and efficiently.
  • Repair and maintain building systems (plumbing, electrical, etc.).
  • Conduct preventative maintenance activities.
  • Respond to maintenance requests and identify safety hazards.
  • Keep detailed records of maintenance activities.
  • Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work environment.
  • Assist with planned maintenance such as fire alarm tests, emergency lighting, and equipment maintenance.
  • Perform minor plumbing, electrical work, and repairs to building fabric.
  • Use and maintain hand and mechanical tools and machinery.
  • Provide updates on tasks and progress to colleagues.
  • Report and resolve deficiencies to prevent faults and safety risks.
  • Support production and site/building improvements proactively.

Essential Capabilities

  • Experience in a caretaker or facilities role preferred.
  • Ability to perform various building trades.
  • Basic knowledge of plumbing and electrical tasks.
  • Strong planning and communication skills.
  • Valid driving license.
  • Ability to work independently.
  • Organizational skills and project management experience.
  • Ability to delegate and manage subcontractors.
  • Passion and enthusiasm for the role.
