Salary: £32,000 - £40,000 based on experience

Due to continued growth, we're looking for a Facilities / Maintenance Technician with a strong plumbing and mechanical background to join our maintenance team. This is a varied, hands-on role supporting the upkeep and improvement of our buildings, facilities, and production areas. You'll be responsible for planned and reactive maintenance across plumbing, mechanical systems, building services, and general site infrastructure, helping to ensure our facilities remain safe, reliable, and efficient. We're looking for someone who enjoys practical problem-solving, takes ownership of maintenance issues, and can work independently while supporting the wider business.

What You'll Do

  • Carry out plumbing repairs, fault finding, and maintenance on water systems, pipework, drainage, and associated services
  • Support the maintenance of heating, ventilation, pumps, valves, and mechanical building services
  • Complete planned preventative maintenance across the site
  • Respond to reactive maintenance requests and carry out practical repairs
  • Perform general building maintenance, including painting, minor joinery, and basic electrical tasks
  • Coordinate and oversee contractors working on site
  • Identify and resolve maintenance issues before they become larger problems
  • Support production areas with maintenance and facilities requirements
  • Maintain accurate maintenance records and documentation
  • Contribute to continuous improvement of the site and facilities

What You'll Need

  • Previous experience in facilities, maintenance, plumbing, building services, or mechanical maintenance
  • Strong plumbing and mechanical fault-finding skills
  • Ability to carry out a broad range of general maintenance tasks
  • Basic understanding of electrical maintenance and safe working practices
  • Strong communication and organisational skills
  • Ability to work independently and manage workload effectively
  • Experience working with contractors and external suppliers
  • Full UK driving licence
  • A practical, proactive, and hands-on approach

Desirable Experience

  • Plumbing, mechanical, building services, or facilities maintenance qualifications
  • Level 3 qualification in a relevant discipline
  • Experience with heating, ventilation, pumps, valves, drainage, or water systems
  • Health and Safety qualifications
  • Experience costing maintenance jobs or small projects
  • Experience training or mentoring colleagues
