Labman Automation is a multiâawardâwinning company with its HQ in North Yorkshire. Labman design and manufacture bespoke laboratory automation systems and products for a wide range of industries across the world.
Due to increasing demand for both our custom automation and robotic laboratory products, we are seeking proactive and technically skilled Service and Support Engineers to ensure the reliability, efficiency and performance of our laboratory automation systems. You will play a critical role in maintaining and optimising Labman systems within our Support team, based at Jealott's Hill (Syngenta, Jealott's Hill, Warfield, Bracknell RG42 6EY).
What You'll Do:
- Install, maintain, and repair laboratory automation systems.
- Provide remote and onâsite technical support and training to customers, operators and internal teams.
- Conduct performance testing and ensure all systems meet Labman's quality standards.
- Build strong relationships with customers by providing excellent service and timely solutions.
- Accurately document all service activities, maintenance schedules and customer interactions.
- Regularly visit Labman HQ (Stokesley, North Yorkshire) for involvement in new project builds and acceptance testing.
Relevant transferrable skills may have been gained from the following industries or roles: Building Management Systems, Control Engineer, HVAC Engineer, Onâsite Maintenance Engineer, Vehicle Engineer, Agricultural/HGV mechanic etc.
What You Bring:
- Proven experience in problem solving & faultâfinding skills including decision making, clear communication, research & analysis skills.
- Strong electromechanical knowledge.
- Ability to work with hand tools in a quick, accurate manner.
- Enthusiasm and willingness to get stuck in.
- Willingness to travel within the UK and worldwide (your main place of work will be at Jealott's Hill). Expect ~25% worldwide travel, ~25% onâsite work & ~50% local visits (after training period).
- Ability to work independently, take initiative and prioritise work.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
