The Role

We are looking for a field service engineer to join our busy service team, providing field service, technical support, software support and operator training to our customers in the radiopharmaceutical/ nuclear medicine sector. This will primarily involve travel within the UK, but European and worldwide travel will be a significant part of the role. When not travelling you will be expected to be based in our Sheffield office.

The position would suit someone who is looking for a career in scientific field service work, including those looking to move from the laboratory to a FSE role. This is a great opportunity to work with a customer-focused company supporting several niche product lines.

Responsibilities

  • Customer site delivery of:
    • Installation and operator training on instruments and software
    • Preventative maintenance
    • Qualifications (IQ/OQ/RQ)
    • Diagnosis and repair of systems
    • Supporting customers and distributors remotely
    • Efficient management of schedule and workload
    • Effective communication with customers and colleagues
    • Assist as needed with product demonstrations
    • Preparation/submission of service reports to customers

The above list is not exhaustive and, as such, you may be required to undertake other duties as appropriate.

Requirements

Essential

  • Industry experience working with Liquid Chromatography (HPLC)
  • Full driving licence
  • Willingness to travel extensively
  • Highly motivated and have strong problem-solving abilities
  • Excellent verbal and written communications skills
  • A commitment to providing a high level of customer service
  • Able to work independently without supervision in high-pressure environments
  • Computer experience and proficiency

Desirable

  • Relevant experience in the radiopharmaceutical industry, ideally within PET QC
  • Experience of working with radioactivity
