The Role
We are looking for a field service engineer to join our busy service team, providing field service, technical support, software support and operator training to our customers in the radiopharmaceutical/ nuclear medicine sector. This will primarily involve travel within the UK, but European and worldwide travel will be a significant part of the role. When not travelling you will be expected to be based in our Sheffield office. The position would suit someone who is looking for a career in scientific field service work, including those looking to move from the laboratory to a FSE role. This is a great opportunity to work with a customer-focused company supporting several niche product lines.
Responsibilities
- Customer site delivery of: Installation and operator training on instruments and software
- Preventative maintenance Qualifications (IQ/OQ/RQ)
- Diagnosis and repair of systems
- Supporting customers and distributors remotely
- Efficient management of schedule and workload
- Effective communication with customers and colleagues
- Assist as needed with product demonstrations
- Preparation/submission of service reports to customers

Requirements
Essential
- Industry experience working with Liquid Chromatography (HPLC)
- Full driving licence
- Willingness to travel extensively
- Highly motivated and have strong problem-solving abilities
- Excellent verbal and written communications skills
- A commitment to providing a high level of customer service
- Able to work independently without supervision in high-pressure environments
- Computer experience and proficiency
Desirable
- Relevant experience in the radiopharmaceutical industry, ideally within PET QC
- Experience of working with radioactivity
