Machine Operator Plain Label/Slitter/Rewinder

We have an opportunity for a motivated individual to join our Plain Label and Rewinding Department.

Working Hours:

Week 1- 6.00am- 2.30pm- Monday- Friday

Week 2- 1.30pm- 11.00pm- Monday- Thursday

General duties will include:

• Produce, finish and pack self-adhesive labels in line with the specification on each job sheet.
• Set up and operate high speed ABG Turret Rewinders.
• Set up and operate Plain Label and Rewind Inspection Machines using hand tools.
• Inspect and quality check each job while machine is operating and adjust as necessary.
• Finished jobs packed and labelled up correctly and handed over to the Despatch Department.
• Add Operator notes to Job Sheets and MIS software with instructions and operational advice for the set up and production of each job.
• Responsibility for keeping a clean & organised working environment.

You must have:

• The ability to work productively, on your own and as part of a team.
• Ability to work well in a high pressure, fast paced production environment.
• Experience operating die- cutting machinery.
• Operating a turret rewinder would be beneficial.
• Strong communication and must be able to work well with others.
• Good basic IT skills, literacy and numeracy.

Experience Preferred:

• Operating Label Machinery: 2 Year+ Required
• Quality Control & Inspection: 1 year+ Required
• Manufacturing Environment: 1 year+ Required

Experience operating plain label machines would be preferred but training could be given to the right candidate
