Do you want to join a global drug development company that will train and develop you? Do you want to work in a laboratory? Would you like to train as a Laboratory Support Technician? Labcorp Drug Development is a world-leading Contract Research Organisation with a mission to help build a healthier and safer world by providing research services for a multitude of organizations.
As a Laboratory Support Technician within our Genetic Toxicology team based at Alconbury, near Huntingdon, Cambridgeshire you will play an integral part in achieving our mission by providing laboratory-based technical and operational support to colleagues working on studies in both our in vitro and in vivo areas.
Please note this is a 12 month Fixed term contract.
Whilst training you will learn a broad range of standard technical laboratory skills and techniques including how to work to Good Laboratory Practice (GLP).
Responsibilities
- Conducting prep work for all departmental assays as assigned
- Maintenance, cleaning and calibration of equipment within all laboratory areas
- Ensuring that plentiful consumable items, media and stock chemical solutions are available in the laboratories as required
- Joint responsibility for the removal of laboratory waste, disposal of expired solutions or materials
- Washing, drying and sterilisation of laboratory glassware and consumables
- Assisting with the archiving of study slides
All training will be provided
