Labcorp is seeking a Laboratory Scientist to join our Immunology and Immunotoxicology (I&I) team at our site in Huntingdon, Cambridgeshire.
Work Schedule: Tuesday - Saturday, 08:30 – 5pm
Job Responsibilities:
- Sample analysis using a variety of analytical techniques such as ELISA utilizing MSD, I3X and Luminex Technologies and Flow cytometry, cell culture.
- Producing high quality data and documentation in line with the requirements of Good Laboratory Practice (GLP).
- QC checking of data to ensure GLP requirements are met.
- Maintaining laboratory equipment.
- Providing input and participating in project meetings, planning, monitoring and guiding project work.
- Learning to assist in setting up and performing method development and validation of various Immunotoxicology assays.
- Training less experienced staff in processes, techniques and use of the instrumentation and acting as a mentor.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree relevant to Immunology and Immunotoxicology e.g. Immunology, Biology, Biomedical Science.
Additional Job Standards:
- Recent years of relevant experience working within industry as a scientist with expertise in ligand binding, flow cytometry or cellular assays.
- Experience working in a GxP regulatory environment is advantageous.
- Experience with technologies such as Luminex, MSD, ELISA, FACS Lyric, or cell culture is preferred.
Working as part of the I&I department, you will undertake analysis of pre‐clinical and clinical samples within the operational team. The work in this department supports multiplexed and high‐sensitivity biomarker analysis, immunogenicity assessment, pharmacokinetic and pharmacodynamic assessment of novel therapeutics.
