Labcorp is seeking an Animal Operations Supervisor to join our team in Harrogate, North Yorkshire.
Work Schedule: Monday – Thursday 7.45am – 4pm, Friday 7.45am – 3.30pm. Weekends on rota.
Job Responsibilities:
- Direct line management to include coaching, performance management, recruitment and other management duties.
- Scheduling and coordinating proactively and in conjunction with other groups or departments the daily activities of the group and liaising with other groups, sections and departments.
- Organising necessary resources for conducting all relevant study or non-study related tasks and participating in the study performance.
- Assuring appropriate communication within the group, particularly for dissemination of information (i.e. Study progress, Facility procedures, Quality, Health and Safety, Business Updates and any other departmental or company communications).
- Understanding and interpreting study plans and identifying problems resulting from the study plan or during study conduct and taking appropriate action.
- Reporting all animal welfare concerns and becoming involved in the resolution and appropriate corrective action, when necessary.
- Participation in meetings, inspections or client visits.
Minimum Qualifications: Home Office Personal Licence Holder
Preferred Qualifications: IAT level 3
Additional Job Standards:
- Previous experience of working within a Laboratory Animal Facility
- Previous leadership experience, ideally in a similar industry
- Experience working with large animals is preferred.
