Labcorp is seeking a Building Maintenance Technician to join our team at Eye in Suffolk.
Work Schedule: Monday – Friday 8.30am – 5pm (37.5 hours).
Job Responsibilities:
- Assisting Maintenance Engineering team with maintenance and repair of site plant and engineering systems.
- Working individually on maintenance tasks as assigned by Facilities Manager.
- Undertaking daily plant checks including: steam boiler checks, L8 water compliance, AHU, chillers, AC units, sewage treatment plant etc.
- Undertaking building fabric repairs: door alignment, drainage repairs, minor decoration etc.
- Carrying out PPMs.
- Liaising with and escorting contractors.
- Forklift and tractor driving.
- Operation of MEWP.
- Updating IT based PPM systems.
- Communicating daily with Facilities Manager and maintenance team.
- Reporting all plant failures.
Minimum Qualifications:
- 3 or more GCSE’s, to include English, Mathematics and Science.
Additional Job Standards:
- Experience in mechanical, electrical, plumbing or construction trades.
- Alternatively ‘handyman’ experience and general exposure to construction and engineering environment will be considered.
- Valid UK drivers licence.
- Weekend overtime available.
