Laboratory Scientist - Ecotoxicology - 12 month fixed term contract in Derby

Labcorp is seeking Laboratory Scientist to join our team at Shardlow, Derbyshire.

Work Schedule: Monday – Friday – 37.5hrs

Job Responsibilities:

• Conducting and performing studies relating to study plan protocols using appropriate instrumentation with routine and non-routine methods with multiple organisms
• Maintaining study documentation in compliance with regulatory guidelines working to Good Laboratory Practice (GLP)
• Collating data and accurate data recording
• Participate in QC review of selected routine data
• Maintaining / upkeep of laboratory and work area
• Husbandry tasks with various aquatic and terrestrial organisms

Minimum Qualifications:

• GCSE level standard in Science, Biology, Maths and English

Preferred Qualifications:

• Home Office licence PIL A/B

Additional Job Standards:

• Worked within all areas using GLP (Good Laboratory Practice) or have knowledge of GLP
• Demonstrates excellent written and verbal communication, time management and organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple studies
• Attention to detail and consistent accuracy whilst managing multiple changing priorities
• Some weekend work and overtime hours required
• 12 month Fixed Term Contract
