Labcorp is seeking an Animal Support Technician to join our team at Shardlow, Derbyshire.
Work Schedule: Monday - Friday – 37.5hrs

Job Responsibilities:
- Husbandry tasks and monitor the health and behaviour for various species including fish and bees and invertebrates to support Ecotoxicology studies
- Collating data and accurate data recording
- Maintaining / upkeep of laboratory equipment and work areas including cleaning tanks, filters, pumps and associated equipment
- Conduct hive inspections, monitor colony health, and identify pests or diseases
- Maintaining documentation in compliance with regulatory guidelines working to Good Laboratory Practice (GLP) and animal welfare
Minimum Qualifications:
- GCSE level standard including Science, Maths and English
Preferred Qualifications:
- Home Office licence PIL A/B
Additional Job Standards:
- Fish/bee keeping (professional or advanced hobbyist)
- Strong understanding of aquatic biology, water chemistry, and filtration systems
- Demonstrates excellent written and verbal communication, time management and organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple studies
- Attention to detail and consistent accuracy whilst managing multiple changing priorities
- Worked within all areas using GLP (Good Laboratory Practice) or have knowledge of GLP
As an Animal Support Technician you will be supporting the department in completing environmental studies on behalf of our clients. The role is varied, hands-on and provides the opportunity to make a real difference working for a world-leader in Environmental research. Full training will be provided.
