Labcorp is seeking a Building Maintenance Technician to join our team at Eye in Suffolk.

Work Schedule: Monday – Friday 8.30am – 5pm (37.5 hours).

We are seeking a Building Maintenance Technician to be responsible for all maintenance and repairs on-site, working to ensure our day-to-day operations continue to run smoothly. If you are passionate about helping people and have a drive for service, Labcorp could be a great next career step!

Responsibilities:

  • Assisting Maintenance Engineering team with maintenance and repair of site plant and engineering systems.
  • Working individually on maintenance tasks as assigned by Facilities Manager.
  • Undertaking daily plant checks including: steam boiler checks, L8 water compliance, AHU, chillers, AC units, sewage treatment plant etc.
  • Undertaking building fabric repairs: door alignment, drainage repairs, minor decoration etc.
  • Carrying out PPMs.
  • Liaising with and escorting contractors.
  • Forklift and tractor driving.
  • Operation of MEWP.
  • Updating IT based PPM systems.
  • Communicating daily with Facilities Manager and maintenance team.
  • Reporting all plant failures.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • 3 or more GCSE’s, to include English, Mathematics and Science.

Additional Job Standards:

  • Experience in mechanical, electrical, plumbing or construction trades. Alternatively ‘handyman’ experience and general exposure to construction and engineering environment will be considered.
  • Valid UK drivers licence.
  • Weekend overtime available.
