Salary circa £80K (depending on skills and experience). LABC is looking for a committed building control or fire safety expert to join our multi-award-winning Learning & Development team. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys helping others learn, can explain complex topics clearly, and wants to shape the future of competence across building safety. Someone with a genuine interest in developing people and who can confidently deliver learning.
Do you have either extensive experience in:
- Building control (domestic and non-domestic, new homes, commercial and complex buildings), or
- Fire safety across a range of building types?
If so, this could be the perfect time to join our team.
What you’ll do
- Educate new starters entering the building control profession
- Provide formal learning for mid-career surveyors
- Deliver learning to allied constructional professionals
- Provide qualifications and CPD for LABC members, the Fire & Rescue Service and the wider industry
This is a predominantly home-based role – flexible and part-time working will be considered. Following a successful probationary period, LABC staff receive a range of benefits including 8% private pension contribution, extensive private health care, income protection and a generous holiday entitlement.
