The predicted salary is between 30000 - 50000 £ per year.

Salary: £36,363 - £72,173 per year (depending on experience, including £7,500 market supplement), plus benefits and Golden Hello payment.

Golden Hello Payment:

We have a range of excellent opportunities available from Assistant Building Control Surveyors through to Principal Building Control Surveyors, within our Award-Winning Building Control Service here at Wokingham Borough Council, on a full-time, permanent basis.

Responsibilities:

We’re passionate about providing a high-quality service and delivering on projects and have recently been Award Winners at the LABC Central Regional Building Excellence Awards 2024, and following an LABC Peer Service review, it was concluded that we are a top quartile performing service nationally.

Essential qualifications/skills:
  • Registered with the Building Safety Regulator at Class 2A - 2F: Building Inspector as determined by the HSE Building Inspector Competency Framework (BICoF)
  • Professional Building Control Qualification (RICS, CABE or equivalent)
  • Building Control experience with working knowledge of building regulations and legislation
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills
  • Strong organisation and prioritising skills
  • Strong focus for service excellence
