London Borough of Tower Hamlets – Building Control Team Leader
Leading on a diverse range of challenging projects. This management position involves overseeing a team of 10 staff members. Responsibilities include managing the City fringe, Brick Lane area, residential developments in Bow, and the redevelopment area previously used by the Olympics. You will manage Registered Building Inspectors to ensure they respond to the BSR Leads within reasonable time limits and maintain the quality of work.
Responsibilities
- Lead a team of enthusiastic members of staff working on complex and high-risk buildings.
- Manage Principal Building Control Surveyors (x2), Building Control Surveyors (x6), Building Control Trainee (x1), Building Control Apprentice (x1), and Building Control Engineer (Structures).
- Ensure compliance with the BSR guidance and achieve Level D Competence in relation to Law, Technology, Building Services, Functions, and Activities for Plans Assessment, Enforcement Inspections, and Enforcement Management & Core Skills, Safety Management, and Ethics.
Salary: £39,264 – £47,040 (£49,083 unconsolidated maximum) plus a Market Supplement of £5K per annum.
About the Borough
This role attracts a Market Supplement of £5k paid over 12 months and is subject to review.
