Leading on a diverse range of challenging projects. This management position involves overseeing 10 staff per team, dealing with the City fringe, Brick Lane area to residential developments in Bow and towards the redevelopment area previously used by the Olympics. Managing Registered Building Inspectors to ensure they respond to the BSR Leads within reasonable time limits and ensuring the quality of work.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead a team of enthusiastic members of staff with complex and high-risk buildings.
  • Manage Principal Building Control Surveyors (x2), Building Control Surveyors (x6), Building Control Trainee (x1), Building Control Apprentice (x1), and Building Control Engineer (Structures).
  • Comprehensive understanding of building construction, materials and techniques, and of fire and life safety theory and practice.
  • In line with the BSR guidance Building Inspector Competence Framework achieve Level D Competence in relation to Law, Technology, Building Services, Functions and Activities for Plans Assessment, Enforcement Inspections and Enforcement Management & Core Skills, Safety Management and Ethics.

We are seeking Registered Building Inspectors to play a key part in our high-performing service within the Planning & Building Standards directorate. We have a reputation for outstanding customer service which is achieved because we employ talented and committed people.

Package up to Β£60k dependent on level, competence and experience.
