We're seeking bright, motivated UI engineers to join our engineering team. If you're passionate about great user interface and experience design, and know your way around Figma and React, then we'd love to hear from you!
This role is open to candidates of all experience levels, compensation will be adjusted accordingly.
Location: Hybrid remote, with on-site work at Leigh Spinners Mill, Greater Manchester
Hours: Flexible
Salary: £32,000 - £48,000 depending on experience, with clear progression + bonus scheme
Holiday: 25 days paid holiday, extras available to purchase + earn 1 extra day per year worked
Key Responsibilities:
- Implementing user experiences for new and existing products from concept to delivery as part of a larger full-stack engineering team.
- Working closely with product managers to translate user needs into intuitive interfaces that actually solve problems.
- Collaborating directly with backend developers to ensure seamless integration and optimal performance.
- Taking ownership of the entire user journey, from initial wireframes through to polished, production-ready interfaces.
- Prototyping and testing new features quickly, iterating based on user feedback and team input.
- Contributing to design system development and maintaining consistency across our product suite.
What we're looking for:
- Strong sense of modern application design with comfort working at both design and implementation stages using Figma & React.
- Comfort using generative AI tools and workflows for prototyping and rapidly testing concepts.
- No specific work experience or qualifications required, but we expect completed personal projects to showcase your style and capabilities.
- Excellent communication and soft skills.
Required Skills:
- Figma for design collaboration and creating polished mockups
- TypeScript for writing maintainable, type-safe code
- Storybook for component documentation and testing
Desired Skills:
- Photoshop and Illustrator for advanced design work and asset creation
- Backend development experience to understand full-stack workflows
- Cloud platform knowledge (AWS, Azure, or GCP) for deployment considerations
