About Lab Thread

Lab Thread is an integrated digital laboratory solution that takes the best of first-generation digital lab management platforms and combines them into a single user-friendly interface, where molecular biology tools, bench-side calculations, ELN records, sample and inventory management, data analysis and team feedback all sit together within the same project workflow. It is a simple, secure digital thread to connect your science; enhancing collaboration, supporting reproducibility & continuity, and ensuring compliance.

This is not a typical sales role. The "status quo" in academia still relies on paper lab books, ring binders, and disconnected data folders. Adoption requires a behavioural shift that will only happen if you can coherently demonstrate how change will boost research productivity. This will require organising and delivering seminars, working with our partners #OBN and #One Nucleus, onboarding users, and building a network in the field.

In biotech, established platforms are already in place, so you must demonstrate that Lab Thread offers an evolution to, and advantage over, legacy systems. Translating this message requires consultative selling, research, and deep relationship building.

  • You have a scientific background and understand lab workflows (BSc or MSc in Biosciences).
  • You have a couple of years experience in sales within life sciences, scientific software, reagents or instrumentation.
  • You are comfortable with field-based working, building relationships and running in-person seminars.
  • You are motivated by building something and winning as a team, and want to enjoy the work that you do.

Responsibilities:

  • Research, Plan, Align and Execute a territory plan with the marketing and commercial team.
  • Organise (with support) and deliver seminars, workshops and “lunch and learns”.
  • Deliver bi-monthly reports on field visits, client need, plan progress and forecast.
  • Help on-board new users weekly and facilitate a great user experience.
  • Work with the commercial director to find and negotiate strategic partnerships and enterprise licences.
  • Stay current with industry trends, competitor analysis and best practices.
  • Support the development of company culture and values as an active team member.
