About La Vie Café
La Vie Café is a premium café in the heart of Manchester, serving beautiful brunches, desserts, and signature drinks. We focus on creating an elegant, Instagrammable experience for our guests and are looking for a friendly, energetic Food Runner/Server to join our team.
Role Overview
As a Food Runner/Server, you will be the face of La Vie Café, ensuring that every guest has a warm and memorable experience. You\'ll be responsible for running food and drinks to tables, keeping service smooth, and providing excellent customer service at all times.
Key Responsibilities
- Greet guests warmly and assist with seating when required
- Run food and drinks from the kitchen/barista station to tables quickly and accurately
- Check tables for completeness of order and presentation
- Clear tables promptly and reset for the next guests
- Answer basic menu questions and upsell items when possible
- Work closely with the kitchen and barista team to ensure smooth service flow
- Maintain cleanliness in the dining area and follow hygiene procedures
- Support the team with any other tasks as needed during service
Requirements
- Previous experience in a café, restaurant, or hospitality environment preferred (but not essential)
- Positive attitude and strong work ethic
- Excellent communication skills and a friendly personality
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Attention to detail and pride in presentation
- Flexibility to work mornings, weekends, and busy periods
