Overview
Data and Exams Officer β 35hrs per week, term-time + two weeks in holiday periods and INSET (41 weeks in total). Permanent post, required from April 2026. Scale SO2, points 26 - 29 (actual starting salary from Β£39,098).
About the role
The Governors of La Sainte Union Catholic Secondary School are seeking to appoint a highly organised, analytical and resilient Data and Exams Officer to lead the schoolβs data and examinations provision. This is a key operational role requiring excellent attention to detail, strong ICT skills and the ability to manage complex processes to tight deadlines. The successful candidate will work closely with senior leaders, teaching staff, awarding bodies and external agencies to ensure accurate data management and the secure, compliant delivery of examinations.
Responsibilities
- Managing and maintaining data systems (Bromcom), ensuring accuracy and compliance
- Delivering data including statutory returns, result documentation and assessment data
- Leading the administration of all public and internal examinations and ensuring compliance with JCQ regulations
- Recruiting, training and overseeing exam invigilators
- Compiling and managing FOI and SAR requests alongside GDPR compliance
Candidate requirements
- Highly organised with excellent attention to detail
- Able to prioritise effectively and work calmly under pressure
- Highly skilled in data, analytics and ICT
- Able to communicate clearly and professionally with a range of stakeholders
- Has experience in data and/or exams administration
- Has a genuine interest in education and supporting young people
- Experience in a school setting, knowledge of Bromcom and exam regulations are desirable but not essential, as training will be provided.
