The Role: As our Shop Manager, you will be the heartbeat of the business, ensuring the front-of-house runs flawlessly while driving sales and maintaining a welcoming environment.

  • Team Leadership: Recruit, train, and manage staff, including setting rotas and monitoring performance.
  • Operations & Profitability: Manage budgets, stock control, and daily reports (cashing up, margin calculations).
  • Quality & Display: Ensure our fresh fish and delicatessen counters look immaculate, implementing flawless stock rotation and attractive displays.
  • Knife Skills & Prep: Possess advanced fish preparation skills (gutting, scaling, filleting) to assist and oversee staff during peak hours.
  • Customer Service: Foster an exceptional customer experience, educating buyers on seafood selection and preparation.
  • Compliance: Enforce the highest standards of food hygiene, health, and safety.

Requirements: Proven experience as a Fishmonger, Store Manager, or similar role in the seafood, butcher, or premium food retail sectors. Advanced knife skills and deep knowledge of various fish and seafood types. Strong commercial awareness with the ability to control wastage and maximize profit margins. Passion for providing excellent customer service.
