The Business Controller is responsible for advising local management on how to optimise financial performance and execute the financial strategy and policies for the LPR UK entity working closely with the Finance Manager.

Strategic Advising & Analysis
  • Drive informed decision‑making by providing targeted analysis on costs, pricing, transport and business performance.
  • Deliver clear reports and KPIs aligned with management objectives.
  • Provide timely financial and management reporting.
  • Analyse data to identify trends and opportunities for improvement.
Budgeting & Forecasting
  • Own the planning, budgeting and forecasting process to ensure accuracy and efficiency.
  • Coordinate financial and operational information flows.
  • Produce and maintain management reports and KPI dashboards.
  • Lead budgeting, forecasting and financial planning activities.
Financial Analysis & Control
  • Strengthen financial performance and control in partnership with management and the Division Finance Director.
  • Assess financial impact of investments and business initiatives.
  • Improve management information processes and budgeting tools.
  • Monitor variances and recommend corrective actions.
  • Implement and maintain strong financial and operational controls.
  • Support and validate business plans across departments.
Planning & Control Cycle
  • Enable effective financial steering by managing the full planning and control cycle.
  • Guide the development of annual financial plans and budgets.
  • Track performance and ensure timely management reporting.
  • Maintain robust financial and operational control processes.
Ad‑hoc Support
  • Contribute to special projects and analyses as needed.

You have a proven track record in financial analysis and stakeholder management, and you excel at turning complex data into clear, actionable insights. Furthermore, you bring strong communication skills, a deep understanding of controlling best practices, and a strategic, business‑oriented mindset. Moreover, you are a collaborative and approachable partner to the business, capable of aligning financial processes with organisational objectives while supporting a culture of continuous improvement, transparency, and performance.

Further:

  • Master’s degree in Finance, Controlling, Business Administration, or a related field (or equivalent in experience).
  • Professional qualification such as CIMA, ACCA or ACA.
  • Strong understanding of logistics, supply chain or distribution environments (experience in these sectors is a plus).
  • Advanced Excel / Working knowledge with ERP (SAP, Sage,…) and Business Intelligence tools.
