La Mon Hotel & Country Club is an independent hotel located at 41 Gransha Road, Comber, Northern Ireland. We are looking for a Receptionist to maintain cash handling, balancing, reconciliations and reservations, ensuring the comfort and satisfaction of all guests and customers.
About The Role
- Maintain and adhere to the company’s health and safety policies;
- Greet customers with a friendly and approachable manner;
- Ensure facilities hygiene standards are maintained to hotel standards;
- Maintain and operate the reception area to hotel standards;
- Operate the reception computer and balance the cash till at the end of every shift;
- Operate the switchboard, dealing with all customer and telephone enquiries;
- Maintain all reception records and ledgers as directed by management;
- Book and make reservations for meals and accommodation;
- Process all outgoing mails;
- Provide the relevant departments with daily information such as bookings, resident counts or any relevant changes or amendments;
- Ensure all opening procedures and security are adhered to for the protection of staff and property and customers as a whole;
- Promote and sell the hotel and its products in a friendly and helpful manner;
- Greet staff in a friendly and approachable manner;
- Ensure the hotel lobby is kept clean and tidy to hotel standards;
- Clear glasses, cups and other items that may be in the hotel lobby;
- Handle customer complaints and requests;
- Maintain a high standard of personal hygiene and appearance;
- Ensure effective communication with management and peers;
- Attend training courses as and when necessary;
- Check and accept deliveries of goods and equipment as necessary;
- Maintain proper and accurate records of all sales and guest accounts as required;
- Ensure that due care is taken for the health and safety of yourself, other employees, residents, members, and any other persons on the premises;
- Report and, where appropriate, take action on any incident, fire, loss, or damage;
- Report all maintenance issues and take appropriate action.
