We have a great opportunity for a Senior Enterprise Architect Tech Strategy & Innovation on a long term program of work.

Key Responsibilities

  • Produce high-level architecture, future/north star and emerging technology views and roadmaps - with a view to start implementing 'Architecture as Code'
  • Provide architectural guidance, including external expertise on trends and best practice for strategy, principles, standards and guardrails.
  • Help with transition states, designs and architecture delivery
  • Embedded within the Programme and work with workstreams leads to help drive scope, requirements, architecture and design roadmaps
  • Stakeholder engagement both Internal and External involved in the Programme
  • Responsible for delivering designs, tooling strategy and data delivery patterns

Key Skills & Experience

  • Act as a Technology Strategy Consultant to the Group CTO and senior leadership, shaping the Group's long-term technology vision, strategic direction, and investment priorities.
  • Conduct strategic analysis of emerging technologies, market trends, competitor activity, and industry developments, translating insights into clear recommendations and business outcomes.
  • Develop executive-level technology strategy artefacts, including strategic viewpoints, future-state scenarios, investment cases, board papers, and decision-making materials.
  • Influence senior stakeholders across CTO, CIO, Architecture, Engineering and Business teams, providing independent challenge and strategic advice on the Group's most critical technology priorities.
  • Lead thought leadership and strategy development across key themes including AI, Digital Assets, Digital Identity, Composability, Simplification, and the Future of Banking.

Desirable skills/knowledge/experience

  • Experience within Financial Services, Consulting, or a technology strategy function in a large, complex organisation.
  • Knowledge of modern technology domains such as cloud, data, platforms, engineering, security, and enterprise architecture.
  • Familiarity with emerging technology ecosystems, regulatory developments and their implications for future business and technology strategy.

Engage with senior stakeholders across CTO, GEC, and IT Board to shape investment decisions and ensure architectural coherence across programmes.

Translate complex technical detail into executive-level narratives and strategic recommendations.
