Key Responsibilities
- Develop, maintain, and enhance cloud-native applications using Java, Spring Boot, and microservices architecture.
- Design and implement event-driven solutions using Apache Kafka to support scalable and resilient business processes.
- Build, deploy, and support applications on AWS using containerized platforms including Docker and Kubernetes (EKS).
- Design, develop, and maintain RESTful APIs to enable seamless integration across enterprise systems.
- Implement Infrastructure as Code using Terraform and contribute to automation and environment management.
- Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines using Git Hub and modern Dev Ops practices.
- Optimize application performance, availability, and scalability using monitoring and observability tools including New Relic and Bosun.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver secure, high-quality software solutions aligned with business objectives.
- Key Skills & Experience
- Strong hands‑on experience with Java 21/25 and Spring Boot.
- Proven experience designing and implementing microservices-based applications.
- Hands‑on experience with Apache Kafka and event‑driven architectures.
- Strong experience developing REST APIs and distributed systems.
- Experience with AWS cloud services and container orchestration platforms such as Kubernetes (EKS).
- Hands‑on experience with Docker and containerized application deployment.
- Experience managing infrastructure using Terraform and Infrastructure as Code practices.
- Strong knowledge of Mongo DB, Mongo Atlas, Postgre SQL, and Redis.
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines and source control using Git Hub.
- Experience with application monitoring, troubleshooting, and performance optimisation using tools such as New Relic and Bosun.
Desirable skills/knowledge/experience
- Experience working within large‑scale retail or e Commerce environments.
- Knowledge of cloud‑native architecture patterns and distributed system design.
- Exposure to AI‑assisted engineering tools and modern software development practices.
- Experience with performance testing and non‑functional testing methodologies.
- Understanding of security best practices for cloud and microservices‑based applications.
- Experience mentoring developers and contributing to engineering standards and best practices.
- Familiarity with Agile, Scrum, and Dev Ops delivery methodologies.
