Key Responsibilities
- Data Migration & Engineering: Review and assure the existing designed and built data migration solutions to ensure they are scalable, secure, performant, and aligned with enterprise standards. Lead the end‑to‑end data migration lifecycle: discovery, profiling, mapping, transformation, validation, reconciliation, and cutover. Design and develop ETL/ELT pipelines using Azure Data Factory and other modern cloud‑native tools. Develop and optimize complex SQL transformations for data ingestion, validation, and reconciliation. Ensure data accuracy, completeness, and consistency across all migration stages and environments.
- Cloud Data Platform Development: Build, optimize, and maintain data solutions on Snowflake and the Microsoft Azure platform. Implement data ingestion pipelines for batch and near real‑time processing using Azure‑native services. Design dimensional, canonical, and analytical data models aligned with business and regulatory requirements. Optimize performance, cost, and scalability of cloud‑based data solutions.
- DataOps & Automation: Implement DataOps practices including CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, deployment validation, and monitoring. Use tools such as Azure DevOps, Git, and CI/CD frameworks to automate data pipeline deployments. Establish observability, logging, alerting, and proactive monitoring mechanisms for ETL and data pipelines. Promote repeatable, version‑controlled, and auditable delivery processes across data migration programmes.
- Domain Expertise (Energy & Utilities): Work with datasets related to asset and network management, telemetry and SCADA data, and CNI‑grade datasets. Apply strong understanding of Energy & Utilities data models, operational data, and regulatory constraints. Ensure adherence to industry standards, compliance, and regulatory frameworks throughout data migration initiatives.
- Data Governance & Quality: Define and enforce data quality rules, checks, and validation frameworks. Implement metadata management, data lineage, auditability, and data cataloging practices. Collaborate with data governance and security teams to ensure compliance with enterprise and regulatory data policies.
