The Cybersecurity Governance Transformation Specialist works collaboratively on a team to develop, implement, operate, and continuously improve a security controls framework. The role acts as the architect and administrator of the framework, embedding it across business units while ensuring its efficacy in support of business objectives. The specialist leverages design thinking, systems thinking, and strong collaboration skills to facilitate shared visibility of control health, enable risk‑ and resource‑informed decision‑making, and ensure clear accountability across the control lifecycle. By breaking down organizational silos through integrated, aligned business processes, this role sustains a resilient, transparent, and trusted control environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Define control risk decision rights, escalation paths, roles & responsibilities, governance structure, and continuous monitoring processes;
  • Design & operate a performance management business process that provides senior management with insights needed to monitor security control implementation progress, evaluate outcomes, and drive targeted performance improvements;
  • Test existing business processes against agreed framework outcomes and make recommendations for process or procedural improvement;
  • Document framework processes and develop clear guidance that ensures stakeholders understand their roles & responsibilities;
  • Facilitate road mapping for agile framework roll‑out with 1st and 2nd line stakeholders;
  • Engage with cross‑functional stakeholders to facilitate control requirement scoping, workflow definition and alignment with governance, risk and compliance tooling;
  • Monitor framework implementation to ensure business processes and stakeholders responsible for making security control decisions remain aligned;
  • Deliver insightful analysis and reporting, ensuring transparency and accountability across projects, programmes, and outcomes.
